Every January is National Bible Month in the Philippines. This was celebrated in our city with a series of Bible quizzes. The championship was held last January 25 in the nearby university with 20 participants from 10 high schools in the province. The project was a joint effort of the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) , ACLEAD, Lakas Angkan Ministries, churches and other Christian organizations. The project was aimed at encouraging the students to read the Bible. The participants came from various religious sects, mostly Catholics.
